August 18, 2008 Request for Debit Card PIN
Though Colonial Savings has not been affected in any way, several community banks in Texas have been the target of fraudulent activity in which their customers are contacted by automatic dialing machines, emails and text messages directing recipients to call a local or toll free number because their accounts have been compromised. Customers calling the number(s) are instructed to enter their debit card number, expiration date and PIN.
Colonial Savings NEVER contacts its customers in this manner to request confidential financial information. Likewise, you should NEVER provide financial or personal information to unverified persons.
Protecting your privacy is of the utmost important to us. If you notice any suspicious or unusual activity on your account(s), please report it to Elaine Springer, Colonial Savings Operations Specialist at 817.877.9007 or email us here.
